AML Investigation Analyst - New Castle, DE - Contract, W2 - $23-33 per HR

The role involves analyzing and investigating potential suspicious activities in a financial setting. Located in New Castle, DE, this contract position requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in generic office technology. The analyst will manage cases from start to finish, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Description

  • Review and analyze system-generated and manual cases for suspicious activities.
  • Manage a caseload of investigations and follow through from initiation to completion.
  • Conduct thorough research using bank systems, the internet, and databases.
  • Prepare and document findings in detailed case files.
  • Create and submit Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) as needed.
  • Collaborate with various departments and external entities for case resolution.
  • Recommend actions such as relationship retention or termination based on findings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Document and report investigation findings comprehensively.
  • Conduct research over available systems and databases.
  • Examine financial statements and transaction data for unusual patterns.
  • Follow up with additional contacts to gather support information.
  • Create SARs and track account actions as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 1-5 years of experience in AML or financial investigations.
  • Experience in writing and preparing SARs preferred.
  • Knowledge of relevant financial laws and regulations is necessary.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
