    Description

    The Amenities Attendant is responsible for the general supervision of an amenity floor in a luxury apartment building in downtown Austin, TX. This includes the fitness center, spa/wellness space, outdoor pool and indoor lounge and club room. This is a part time position, 16-24 hours per week between the hours of 6am and 10pm. First shift is 6am - 2pm, second shift is 2pm-10pm.

    Great opportunity for a Summer job- close to UT campus. Flexibility within scheduled shift times.

    Responsibilities:

    • Sets-up, maintains and cleans fitness equipment
    • Tends to fitness and spa towel service
    • Tends to pool and fitness towel service
    • Maintains spa cold plunges
    • Tends to espresso machines
    • Straightens pool furniture
    • Welcomes guests, explains programs and activities in building
    • Reports and resolves complaints
    • Maintains attendance records and ensures rules and regulations are enforced in a tactful manner
    • Is timely and punctual when reporting to work.
    • Attend all scheduled training and meetings as required.
    • Ensure the desk and surrounding area is safe, clean and orderly.
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    • High School diploma or GED
    • At least 6 months of experience working in a hospitality or recreation venue.
    • A strong work ethic
    • Must exhibit organizational and time management skills
    • Ability to work independently, ability to show initiative and make decisions
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Professional manner, discretion, and appearance
    • Positive and enthusiastic attitude towards job and facility.
    • Must be able to troubleshoot and anticipate problems.
    • Ability to stand for long periods
    • Awareness of proper body mechanics to prevent injury
    • This position required the ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, walk, and talk
    • The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms
    • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
    • Normal work hours: varied to include nights, weekends, and holidays
