    Job Title: Travel RN – Progressive Critical Care Unit (PCU)
    Location: Albany Medical Center
    Duration: 13 Weeks
    Start Date: 05/26/2026
    Shift: Nights – 3x12 (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
    Patient Ratio: Approx. 1:3 (high acuity)

    Job Overview:

    We are seeking an experienced PCU Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-acuity Progressive Critical Care Unit. This unit manages medically complex and surgically advanced patients requiring close monitoring and advanced interventions.

    Key Requirements:

    • Minimum 2 years of PCU/ICU experience
    • Epic EMR experience – REQUIRED
    • Active RN license (NY or compact preferred)
    • ACLS & BLS certifications (AHA required)
    • Strong experience with high-acuity adult patients
    • Must complete competency test within 24 hours of submission

    Clinical Experience Required:

    • Advanced hemodynamics & pressor titration protocols
    • Management of respiratory failure, sepsis, and multi-organ dysfunction
    • Experience with:
      • A-line, CVP, EVD monitoring
      • Antihypertensive, sedative & Narcan drips
      • Thrombolytics
      • HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, Oxymizer/Oxypendent
      • Trauma & post-surgical complications
    • Knowledge of infection prevention protocols

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide care to critically ill PCU patients with complex conditions
    • Monitor and manage advanced life-support equipment and drips
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal outcomes
    • Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR
    • Ensure adherence to hospital protocols and patient safety standards

    Additional Notes:

    • Local candidates not accepted
    • Navy blue scrubs required
    • Candidates with large-scale PCU or community ICU experience preferred
