As the Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacist for the Neurology Oncology Clinic, you'll be at the forefront of transforming outpatient cancer care through precision medication management and seamless care transitions.

    What You'll Do:

    • Deliver expert medication therapy management for patients with complex neurologic malignancies in an ambulatory setting.

    • Collaborate closely with neuro-oncology physicians, infusion center teams, and specialty pharmacy to optimize treatment outcomes.

    • Support advanced therapies including oral oncolytics, immunotherapies, and investigational agents.

    • Drive continuity of care across inpatient, outpatient, and infusion services-ensuring safe transitions and improved patient experience.

    • Enhance UVA prescription capture through proactive engagement with UVA specialty and retail pharmacy services.

    • Educate and mentor pharmacy learners and contribute to continuous professional development across the care team.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    Education: Bachelor''s in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. from an ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy required.

    Experience: No experience required. PGY-1 residency or equivalent clinical experience preferred.

    Licensure: Virginia State Board of Pharmacy License or within 60 days of hire. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    Job requires sitting for prolonged periods; Repetitive motion: typing. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull less than 20lbs. May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
