Introduction

We're seeking an energetic, detail-driven professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is dedicated to supporting high-quality emergency medical services. The ideal candidate excels at providing reliable backup support during team absences or peak workload periods and ensuring seamless operations and timely completion of critical responsibilities. This individual will analyze ambulance transportation patient care reports with precision, applying clinical protocols, regulatory requirements, and billing standards. They will also play a key role in onboarding success by developing and delivering effective training for new team members within the ambulance transportation division.

Anticipated starting salary for this position may be up to mid-point depending on candidate's experience and internal equity. The full salary range is listed above and mid-point for this position is $32.58/hour or $67,766.40/annually.

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Associates Degree in Business, Finance, or related field from an accredited educational institution.
  • Two years of current ambulance/medical billing experience, OR one year of current ambulance/medical billing experience and NAAC certified as an Ambulance Coder.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and/or job-related experience that meets the minimum qualifications may be substituted.

Licensing, Certifications and Other Requirements:

  • National Academy of Ambulance Compliance (NAAC) as a Certified Ambulance Coder (CAC) within 6 months of hire.
  • Every person employed by the City of Scottsdale shall reside in the State of Arizona during his or her active employment by the City, regardless of whether the employee is approved to remote work.

Other pertinent licenses and/or certifications may be required of some positions depending on division/department/service assignment.
