Job Title: Ambient Selector
Location: Burlington, NC
Shift: 2nd Sun-Thur 3pm-midnight
Pay: $19/hour
Job Purpose – A Freezer/Cooler Selector is responsible for packing, labeling, and loading our delivery trucks. This is a warehouse position responsible for operating an electric pallet jack to select the correct products, labeling product, palletizing product to build customer orders and delivering the product to the trucks safely and efficiently. Our perishable distribution centers are temp controlled, ranging anywhere from 30 degrees in the cooler to -20 degrees in the freezer. This is a fast paced position that requires great attention to detail, time management and a hardworking individual.
Key Responsibilities:
- Moves incoming or outgoing products throughout the distribution center by hand, hand truck, or forklift equipment.
- Replenishes pick areas as identified by replenishment reports and various requests for merchandise.
- Fills merchandise orders from restaurants
- Loads outgoing merchandise
- Reports damages and/or vendor compliance issues to supervisor.
- Partners with supervisor to resolve problems or discrepancies.
- Meets safety, productivity and quality standards.
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Working Conditions:
- Continuous lifting of merchandise up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, and occasional team lifting of merchandise up to 85lbs
- Continuous walking
- May work at heights up to 30 feet above ground
- Standing, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and pushing and pulling using hands and/or arms on a repetitive basis above and below the shoulder level
- Exposure to dust and noise
- Exposure to extreme heat and cold, including freezers, coolers and refrigerators for long periods of time
