The Overton Brooks VA Medical Center, Shreveport, LA, has an immediate opening for a full-time, board-certified/eligible Interventional Cardiologist. Highlights of this position include:
Competitive Starting Salary $325,000 - $390,000
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm., may be required to work unscheduled hours in case of an emergency or when on call
Performs inpatient or outpatient cardiovascular consultation services
Perform standard diagnostic and cardiovascular procedures, including cardiac catheterization, ECG, angioplasty, etc.
Duties will include clinical practice, and teaching Cardiology fellows, residents, and medical student
Position includes a faculty appointment at the affiliated Louisiana State University Health and Science Center commensurate with qualifications
Must be a U.S. Citizen. Non-Citizen candidates will be considered if a U.S. Citizen is not found
Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State
Board certified at least once in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology
Experience in peripheral vascular intervention is preferred. Structural heart disease intervention and/or venous intervention training desirable
