Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Aerospace Welder to join our team. This is precision TIG work on thin-wall aluminum aerospace parts — not structural or heavy fabrication. You will weld small, close-tolerance components where quality, consistency, and attention to detail matter.
What You’ll Do• TIG weld aluminum 6061 (and other aerospace alloys as needed) to AWS D17.1 Class A standards
• Work with thin material: .040”, .063”, and .125”
• Weld in 1G, 2G, 3G (groove) and 1F, 2F, 3F (fillet) positions
• Follow approved WPS, drawings, and weld symbols
• Self-inspect your work and correct issues promptly
• Support production priorities on customer-critical and high-value parts
• Work closely with production, engineering, and quality
What We’re Looking For
• Strong experience TIG welding thin-gauge aluminum (6061 preferred)
• Ability to weld .040”–.125” material with good fusion and low porosity
• Experience or willingness to qualify in 1G/2G/3G and 1F/2F/3F positions to AWS D17.1 Class A
• Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols
• 5–10+ years aerospace or precision welding experience preferred
• Current AWS D17.1 qualification is a plus; ability to certify is required
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen or permanent resident) for ITAR compliance
