DIE SHOP SUPERVISOR
We’re looking for a Die Shop Supervisor (day shift) for our Aluminum Extrusion client in the greater Youngstown, OH area.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS Include:

• 
  
• 5+ years of experience in die correcting & polishing
• 
  
• Must have supervised a Die Shop team
• 
  
• Ability to read measurement tools (Calipers, gauges, micrometers, etc.)
• 
  
• Experience with Continuous Improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing facility
• 
  
• Must have above-average math skills
• 
  
• Experience using a computer to track and log daily production
• 
  
• Must be willing to participate in all required job &/or employment-related trainings.
• 
  
• Ability to work overtime.
• 
  
• HS Diploma/GED required
• 
  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Include:

• 
  
• Supervise and manage Die Polishers, Die Correctors & Die Chasers on shift - for productivity
• 
  
• Manage employee challenges on shift—attendance, performance, productivity
• 
  
• Train Die Chasers on proper procedure, handling of dies and the die process
• 
  
• Communicate with Extrusion Supervisors to review die failures and make die corrections as they come through the Die Shop
• 
  
• Polish dies in between die corrections
• 
  
• Move product and/or materials manually as required
• 
  
• Assist on shift as needed (to replace a c/o or vacation, etc.)
• 
  
• Comply with company policies, including, but not limited to, attendance and safety policies
• 
  
• Work varying shifts and overtime per business needs and volume
• 
  
• An individual in this role will be an effective communicator verbally and in writing, and this role requires individuals to read and follow written procedures in English
