Alternative School Vehicle (Van) Driver
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Must hold a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Must be at least 21 years old.
Experience: Five (5) years of driving experience, during which time a valid driver's license was held.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Meet all requirements enumerated in COMAR 13A.06.06.09 (Qualifications and Disqualifications)
Valid driver's license with no court-ordered restrictions.
Have no more than two current points on driving record and have a satisfactory past driving record.
Receive a negative controlled substance pre-employment test.
Submit to drug and alcohol testing to include random, post-accident and reasonable suspicion.
Ability to work well with and manage students, including students with special needs.
Ability to accommodate route and student changes with minimal notice.
Attendance: Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
Accommodations: Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
