    Description

    We are seeking a compassionate, dependable individual or couple to provide Alternative Family Living (AFL) services for a friendly woman in her 40s with Down syndrome. The ideal provider would reside in the South Asheville, Arden, Fletcher, or Hendersonville area and be committed to creating a stable, supportive, family-oriented home environment.  The pay for this position is $138 per day.

    Qualifications:
    • High school Diploma, GED or Equivalent
    • Must be at least 18 years old
    • Valid Driver’s License with Current Vehicle insurance
    • Clean driving record
    • No children living in the home
    • Patient, caring, and reliable
    • Ability to support independence, community involvement, and daily living skills
    • Experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities is helpful but not required
    • Must be able to independently travel to assigned locations as needed
    • Able to work flexible hours according to the needs of the services and individual
