The teacher provides direct instruction in the core academic content areas to support student progress and provides special education services, as per the students' Individual Education Plans (IEP).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Possession of a valid California Multiple Subject Credential or valid California Clear/Preliminary Single Subject Credential in a CORE subject; AND • Possession of a valid California Education Specialist Credential with authorization either in Mild/Moderate Disabilities or Mild to Moderate Support Needs; NOTE: One of the credential documents listed above must be a PRELIMINARY or CLEAR credential. • Experience working with students in an alternative education setting and/or with special needs.
NECESSARY MATERIALS FOR APPLICATION • Completed Ed-Join online application (all fields must be completed); • Current resume; • Copy of a valid California Multiple Subject Credential OR a valid California Clear/Preliminary Single Subject Credential in a CORE subject; • Copy of a valid California Education Specialist Credential with authorization either in Mild/Moderate Disabilities or Mild to Moderate Support Needs; • Minimum of one (1) current letter of reference (dated within the last three years). Applicants must meet minimum qualifications and submit all necessary materials online by the deadline date for further consideration. A copy of a valid California Driver's License is required prior to start of employment.
