Allocation & Placement Coordinator (Remote)

A growing healthcare system is seeking an Allocation & Placement Coordinator I (APC I) for a fully remote opportunity.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: Days & Nights

• Schedule: Full-time, four 10.5-hour shifts per week; weekdays and weekends based on department needs

• Hours: 7:30am to 6pm or 9:30am to 8pm or 7:30pm to 6am or 9:30pm to 8am

• Setting: Remote

Responsibilities:

• Manage organ allocation and placement activities in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment

• Receive, evaluate, and respond to organ offers with accurate clinical and logistical coordination

• Communicate by phone with transplant centers, clinical teams, and other stakeholders

• Document allocation, placement, and related clinical information in electronic records and donor systems

• Apply OPTN/UNOS policies and procedures while supporting compliant decision-making

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of related work experience

• Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree

• Direct experience with organ allocation and placement

• Direct experience with thoracic and/or abdominal organ allocation

• Experience working within an Organ Procurement Organization or transplant program

• Experience receiving and managing organ offers

• Knowledge of OPTN and UNOS policies and allocation processes

• Experience with high-volume inbound and outbound phone communication

• Experience with electronic donor documentation and medical records

• Experience with time-sensitive clinical communication and decision-making

Desired Skills:

• Background as a registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, medical assistant, transplant coordinator, organ allocation coordinator, or organ placement coordinator

• Experience working independently in a fast-paced environment

• Familiarity with CMS and New York regulations

• Experience serving as a subject matter expert or preceptor
