A nonprofit organization in New York City is seeking an Allocation & Placement Coordinator III (APC III) to join their team in a Remote capacity. This remote role supports complex organ allocation cases, coordinates with clinical partners, and ensures compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
About the Opportunity:
Shift: Day
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Sunday rotation
Hours: 40 hours per week; four 10.5-hour shifts
Setting: Remote
Responsibilities:
Coordinate donor organ allocation using OPTN/UNOS systems
Manage complex and multi-organ allocation cases
Communicate with transplant centers, laboratories, and internal clinical teams
Document offers, acceptances, declines, and allocation activity in DonorNet and related systems
Monitor case timelines, coordinate transportation logistics, and escalate policy or operational concerns as needed
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of APC II experience or equivalent organ allocation experience
Advanced knowledge of OPTN/UNOS systems and allocation policies
Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-acuity, time-sensitive environment
Desired Skills:
Healthcare background such as RN, PA, LPN, or MA
Organ procurement or transplant experience
Experience managing complex, multi-organ allocation cases
