    The free, short application for the San Rafael City Schools Teacher Residency at Alder GSE is now open (September 1, 2026)! The application deadline is October 9, 2026. San Rafael City Schools is now recruiting a new cohort for the San Rafael City School-Alder GSE Teacher Residency Program. This innovative and affordable pathway offers aspiring educators a direct route to becoming a full-time teacher in our community. In just one year, residents earn both a Master's Degree and a Teaching Credential while gaining hands-on experience in the classroom. The program combines rigorous coursework led by Alder GSE faculty with a mentorship-based, co-teaching model in the TK12 classroom to develop highly effective educators. Upon completion of the residency, graduates receive priority consideration for full-time teaching positions within the San Rafael City Schools District.
