    Description

    The Occupational Therapist works under the supervision of leadership. Evaluates, plans and implements treatment programs for the rehabilitation of patients, as directed by a provider, using approved treatment procedures. Provides patient/family education. Participates in family conferences. Responsible for all necessary documentation as required by accepted medical guidelines.

    • Establishes goals that maximize the patient's recovery.
    • Plans a treatment program, using appropriate treatment procedures that will best accomplish the established goals.
    • Implements the treatment program using approved procedures.
    • Documents treatment procedures and the patient's response to them, on a regular basis.
    • Responsible for treatment procedures, documentation, and supervision of occupational therapy assistants, occupational therapy students, and Rehab Aide, when appropriate.
    • Participates in staff meetings, family conferences and interdisciplinary team conferences, when appropriate.
    • Participates in continual process improvement.
    • Other duties as assigned

    Education

    • Bachelor''s Degree - Graduate of accredited Occupational Therapy school with Bachelor of Science/ARTS. - Required

    Work Experience

    Licenses and Certifications

    • Occupational Therapist (OT) - Licensed in State of Missouri - Required within 60 Days
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required within 90 Days

    Travel Requirements

    • Must be able to travel between various system facilities and off-site locations as needed. - Required
