Description
MUST LIVE WITHIN 1-5 MILES OF MILL VALLEY, CA IN ORDER TO APPLY, as well as possess a valid driver's license and be able to pass a background check.
All employees are given thorough training for their positions, and Alarm Technician training earns you a state Alarm Technician Certification. Your day to day will include working with customers and ensuring all systems are installed and working properly. New Installers/Technicians will begin by working in a pair with a Lead Technician until they are comfortable working independently.
Job Responsibilities
General Duties & Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair alarm systems
- Pull and run electrical wires in attics and crawl spaces
- Drill and cut holes, and properly mount devices with great attention to detail
- Write routine reports documenting work done on each site
- Drive, re-stock, and maintain cleanliness and organization of company work van
- Follow all safety and installation requirements, such as use of protective masks and foot covers when entering homes, following drilling safety procedures, and identifying utility shut-offs
- Basic customer service interactions, and ensure the client's home/business is always clean, undamaged, and free of any installation debris
Qualifications
- Live within <5 miles of our Mill Valley, CA office
- Possess a valid Driver's License, driving history, and pass a background check that meets company standards throughout employment
- All employees must uphold a high level of professionalism, and especially when interacting with clients and entering residential spaces
- All employees are regularly required to stand, walk, bend, crouch, crawl, climb ladders, lift, talk, use power tools, and drive from job to job every day
- Must be fluent in English, to read building, electrical, and sprinkler blueprints and schematics
