Smart Shield Systems is hiring a skilled Security Systems Technician to install, service, and troubleshoot residential and commercial security systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with alarm systems and low voltage wiring, and takes pride in clean work and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
Install, service, and troubleshoot alarm systems (panels, sensors, keypads, sirens, etc.).
Install and configure video surveillance systems (indoor/outdoor cameras, video doorbells, mounts).
Perform system takeovers, upgrades, and troubleshooting service calls.
Run and terminate low voltage wiring when needed (attics, walls, crawlspaces).
Install smart home devices and automation (locks, thermostats, lighting, etc.).
Install and support access control equipment (smart locks, keypads, access schedules).
Configure systems and assist with app setup and customer training.
Communicate professionally with customers and internal office staff.
Document work performed (equipment installed, job notes, issues, recommendations).
Maintain jobsite cleanliness and professional standards.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in security systems installation (alarms required).
Low voltage wiring experience strongly preferred.
Experience installing and servicing cameras (WiFi and/or PoE preferred).
Troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Must have own hand tools (and be willing to use company equipment where provided).
