Job Title: Airworthiness & Regulatory Engineer (Mid-Level)
Job Description
This full-time, onsite Airworthiness & Regulatory Engineer (Mid-Level) role focuses on safety, compliance, and detailed root cause investigations related to regulatory compliance issues for commercial airplanes. You will independently lead cross-functional teams through structured Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations, enabling leadership to understand systemic root causes and implement effective corrective actions that contain issues and prevent recurrence. The position offers broad exposure to airplane certification across the entire lifecycle and plays a critical role in maintaining and restoring compliance with regulatory requirements, contributing directly to product safety.

Work Environment
This is a full-time, first-shift position based 100% onsite in the Puget Sound region of Washington State, with work hours typically from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The role is located in an engineering and office environment within a large aerospace facility, where you will collaborate closely with other engineers, safety specialists, and functional teams. The work involves extensive use of standard office and engineering tools, including investigation and problem-solving frameworks such as RCCA and the Boeing Problem Solving Model (BPSM), as well as typical office productivity and documentation systems. The team values a strong safety and compliance culture, open communication, and diverse perspectives as key contributors to product safety. The environment promotes a healthy work-life balance, though occasional overtime may be required to address urgent safety or compliance items. The position may require rare domestic travel to support investigations or coordination, but no regular international travel. The role follows a standard workweek schedule rather than a 9x80 arrangement. Dress is generally consistent with a professional engineering office setting, with appropriate attire for meetings, lab or shop visits, and interactions across the facility.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
