Job Title: Airworthiness & Regulatory Engineer (Senior)

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Airworthiness & Regulatory Engineer to join our Safety and Compliance Investigations team in Washington. This role is essential in ensuring our products remain compliant with regulatory requirements and are among the safest in the world. You will lead investigations, utilizing the Boeing Problem Solving Model, to address compliance issues and implement corrective actions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead investigations for issues related to FAA issued Letters of Investigation, Compliance Actions, Voluntary Disclosures, and Airworthiness Non-Compliances.
  • Coordinate with functional engineering teams to develop comprehensive root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure investigation write-ups meet regulatory expectations in collaboration with the Organizational Designation Authorization (ODA).
  • Collaborate with enterprise groups to improve processes and tools.
  • Communicate complex technical issues to diverse audiences and lead a team of engineers and non-engineers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate of Science degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
  • 9+ years of related work experience or equivalent technical education and experience.
  • Experience with RCCA tools such as 5-Whys or Fishbone, and/or the Boeing Problem Solving Model (BPSM).
  • Knowledge of FAA Regulatory Compliance and ODA procedures.
  • Experience with commercial airplane operation, certification, and safety requirements.
  • Pilot's license and/or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License are desirable.

Work Environment

This position is based in Washington and requires working onsite. Occasional overtime may be necessary for urgent matters. The role operates during the 1st shift, with working hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. While virtual work may be available for highly capable candidates, the role primarily requires onsite presence. Domestic travel may be required on rare occasions.

This is a Contract position based out of Everett, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $70.00/hr.
