    **Amazon Airport Warehouse Associate****Job Overview**You're on your way to joining Amazon Air-one of the most exciting and unique opportunities at Amazon. You'll gain hands-on experience sorting packages, preparing them for aircraft and other warehouse destinations, and learning new Amazon technology, all while helping ensure customers receive their orders on time. Understand and follow instructions in English3. For this job, a valid driver's license is required; a commercial driver's license is not required.4. In accordance with FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) and DHS (Department of Homeland Security) requirements, applicants must successfully complete a criminal background check to obtain access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA) and must be able to secure the appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable.5. This position may be subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol testing if conducting safety sensitive functions as defined by the FAA. Federal law also requires Amazon to determine an applicant's DOT drug and/or alcohol testing history prior to hiring him/her into a position that would require them to conduct safety sensitive functions as defined by the FAA.**What You'll Do**1. Use a valid driver's license to operate cargo trucks (commercial driver's license is not required)2. Prepare packages to load and unload for the aircraft3. Remove tie-downs and other gear when loading and unloading aircraft4. Weigh, label, or make/break-down cardboard containers5. Lift up to 49 pounds6. Handle, move, and stack boxes7. Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts8. Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, powered industrial trucks (PIT) such as forklifts, and other gear to move items around9. Go up and down stairs (where applicable)10. Work at a height of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine (where applicable)11. Outside on hot days, temperatures can exceed 90°F and on cold days, temperatures can reach below freezing.2. **Noise level.** It can get noisy at times. We provide hearing protection if you need it.3. **Dress code.** Relaxed, with a few rules to follow for safety. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required and protective safety footwear are required in select business units.
