As an Airport Security Officer: Full Time in Lihue, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a government airport location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for travelers, employees, and visitors. This driving position requires a valid driver's license. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.

Pay Rate: $26.50 / Hour

Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• 18+ years of age
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, airport personnel, and other stakeholders while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of airport terminals, public areas, access points, parking facilities, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations.
• Monitor for and report unusual activity, unauthorized access, hazards, and policy violations; document observations and incidents according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with airport operations and public agencies as directed.
• Assist with access control, traffic and pedestrian flow, and the enforcement of airport rules and security-related procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Able to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
