Airport Security Officer: F/T Overnight Shift

As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government airport location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to travelers, employees, and visitors. Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of airport terminals, public areas, parking facilities, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.

Requirements: 

• Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• 18+ years of age

• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently

• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

 

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and airport partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of airport terminals, public areas, parking facilities, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, restricted areas, and aircraft operations support areas in accordance with site-specific procedures; report unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with airport operations, law enforcement, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as directed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and communications.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
