$29.75/hr Position Summary
  • Perform technical, mechanical, and inspection functions related to the overhaul of aircraft wheel and brake components.
  • Work in a repair and overhaul shop environment.
  • Support maintenance, inspection, testing, painting, and assembly processes in accordance with technical and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct receiving inspections of incoming assemblies and components.
  • Disassemble, clean, blast, paint, build up, pressure test, inspect, and assemble aircraft components.
  • Perform final inspections according to customer specifications, airworthiness directives, manufacturer CMM guidelines, and operating procedures.
  • Manually handle and maneuver large aircraft wheels and brakes, including rolling and lifting.
  • Maintain proper segregation and identification of work-in-progress components.
  • Comply with applicable customer, FAA, and JAA technical data requirements.
  • Mix and apply primer and paint during painting operations.
  • Perform general shop and equipment maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area using Five S principles.
  • Identify and support process improvements and waste reduction opportunities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Handle hazardous waste in compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • US Person citizenship requirement.
  • Technical Data access eligibility required.
  • Ability to work in a repair and overhaul shop environment.
  • Ability to stand and walk continuously.
  • Ability to manually handle and maneuver large aircraft wheels and brakes.
