Summary:
Assembles, installs, seals, rigs, and inspects precision structural and system components using drawings, process specifications, and quality control requirements.
Functional tests and corrects fit, form, and function of assemblies and components.
Obtains required information from prints, charts, sketches, work instructions, documents, and verbal or electronic data.
Uses shop mathematics and precision measuring or test instruments to complete work assignments and functional tests.
Utilizes tooling in the assembly of components into sub-assemblies or end items.
Verifies work per work instructions and engineering specifications and identifies discrepancies per applicable procedures.
Performs routine minor machine maintenance including filter replacement, bulb changes, and lubrication or coolant level maintenance.
Sets up and operates conventional and Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) and fastening equipment of less than simultaneous 3-axis movement.
Performs one or more specialties including Assembly or Installation of Structures, Sealer, or Sub Assembly.
Performs one or more specialty skills including Assembly or Installation Doors, Integral Fuel Cell Sealing, Precision Bench Assembly, or Pressure and Vacuum testing.
Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Skin quality awareness for aircraft structural assembly.
Repair knowledge for structural and system components.
Fastener installation experience.
Drill and countersink experience.
Previous structures experience.
Ability to assemble, install, seal, rig, and inspect precision structural and system components.
Ability to read and interpret prints, charts, sketches, and work instructions.
Ability to use shop mathematics and precision measuring or test instruments.
Ability to set up and operate conventional and CNC fastening equipment of less than simultaneous 3-axis movement.
