Aircraft Metal Structures TIG Technician
Hastings, MI — Like solving build puzzles? Enjoy transforming a blueprint into a flawless assembly? This role puts you at the heart of fabricating aircraft components with exacting standards.
What will you do?
- Use TIG to weld carbon steel, aluminum, and thin-wall stainless tubing to precise specs.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to plan each build.
- Fabricate and assemble metal parts to meet project requirements.
- Inspect welds and finished products to confirm quality assurance criteria.
- Keep your station clean and organized while following safety protocols.
- Coordinate with teammates and other departments to keep schedules on track.
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving fabrication issues as they come up.
Am I a fit?
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
- Proven experience in TIG welding and fabrication.
- Solid understanding of welding processes, materials, and safety practices.
- Comfortable interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Detail-focused with a commitment to top-tier workmanship.
- Strong problem-solver who works well independently and with a team.
- Physically able to handle materials and equipment throughout the shift.
