Position: Heavy Maintenance Materials Coordinator
Location: Fort Myers, Florida
Duration: Contract

Job Overview:
This position is a member of the Material Planning HMV team. The primary responsibility is to provide materials support at one of our external heavy maintenance providers, ensuring required materials are available on-site in a timely fashion. The role involves coordination with Maintenance, Maintenance Control, Stores, Material Planning, Supplier Management, AOG Desk, and other Technical Operation Departments to address material constraints and ensure the planned aircraft return to service.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with heavy maintenance providers to address material and tooling requirements.
  • Provide updates to Maintenance on material status for each aircraft, including mitigation efforts to address any shortages.
  • Oversee the flow of unserviceable parts to ensure they are shipped promptly to designated repair shops.
  • Monitor the return of unused material to designated stations.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience/training.
    • 3 years of experience in an Aircraft Maintenance Planning environment.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • 3 years of experience in an Aircraft Operational environment.
  • Skills, Licenses, and Certifications:
    • Ability to navigate and work with web-based systems.
    • Ability to read, interpret, and extract part information from technical documentation such as IPC, Work Cards, and Component Repair Manuals.
    • Understanding of current Maintenance processes, including MEL and Deferral processes.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills.
    • Must be able to work in stressful situations during peak operations.

  • Understanding of MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul)
  • Experience in ordering parts
