Overview
Vista Aircraft Maintenance is seeking skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team in Van Nuys, CA. As a key member of our team, you will perform advancedThe troubleshooting, inspections, and repairs that keep our world class fleet operatng at the highest standards of safety performance, and reliability.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will work both independently and collaboratively applying stronch mechanical and electrical expertise while supporting fellow technicians and contributing to a culture of excellence.
Vista Aircraft Maintenance is the in-house maintenance provider for the Vista Members' fleet, which comprises an unrivalled fleet of light, super mid-size, long-range and ultra-long-range aircraft. Vista Aircraft Maintenance has multiple maintenance hubs strategically located across the U.S. and Europe. Vista Aircraft Maintenance offers a robust regional support network for Vista's growing fleet, with one of the leading base maintenance facilities in the world.
The salary range for this position is $32 to $60+ per hour.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and resolve advanced mechanical and electrical issues on aircraft systems.
Conduct inspections and document corrective actions in accordance with AMM criteria.
Assist with aircraft movement, engine ground runs, and taxi operations (as approved).
Provide guidance to Level I technicians on procedures, tooling, and best practices.
Maintain accurate log entries and data in Corridor per FAR Part 43.
Apply working knowledge of Part 135/145 forms, documentation, and processes.
Work with the Chief Inspector to initiate inspection qualification pathways.
Support upkeep of shop equipment, tooling, and facilities.
Competent in all tasks performed by Level I technicians and provide oversight to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Required Skills and Experience
High school diploma or GED
Airframe & Powerplant Certificate (A&P) required
Minimum 3 years of relevant aircraft maintenance experience
Strong troubleshooting ability (mechanical & electrical systems)
Skilled in interpreting AMM, SRM, IPC, and related manuals
Ability to perform engine ground runs (as approved)
Experience entering maintenance entries into Corridor or similar systems
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, high-priority operational environment
Competency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
Valid driver's license with a clean record
Full set of professional-grade aircraft maintenance tools
Understanding of shadow box/FOD prevention practices
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening, FBI fingerprinting, and 10-year background check
