Position Title: Senior Aircraft Data Loader Systems Engineer
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract-to-hire opportunity for a Senior Aircraft Data Loader Systems Engineer supporting mission-critical aviation programs in the Patuxent River, Maryland area (Onsite).
Job Description:
- Join an elite engineering team evaluating and integrating next-generation avionics data solutions for naval aviation platforms.
- In this role, you will apply your systems engineering expertise to evaluate vendor solutions for aircraft data storage, data retrieval, and data processing.
- Working alongside experienced engineering and aviation professionals, you will oversee system designs, perform hands-on lab testing, and support platform integration in a dynamic, mission-focused environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Avionics & Data Loader Oversight: Oversee the development, system design, and platform integration of advanced aircraft data loader avionics and data storage systems.
- Vendor Evaluation & SETR: Participate actively in the NAVAIR Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process and evaluate vendor design and requirements documentation for technical accuracy and compliance.
- Testing & Integration: Perform hands-on testing, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of data loaders in lab environments, collaborating with multi-disciplinary engineering teams for aircraft integration.
- Acquisitions & Technical Expertise: Provide high-level technical direction supporting US Navy acquisition programs, data recording devices, and data processing architectures.
Job Qualifications:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline plus a minimum of 8 years of professional engineering experience.
- Acquisitions Exposure: Minimum of 3 years of direct experience supporting US Navy acquisition programs.
- Process Expertise: Demonstrated experience with NAVAIR Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) processes.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- Advanced Degree: Master’s degree in Systems Engineering with a concentration in Avionics.
- Data Storage Domain Knowledge: Direct experience working with US Navy aircraft data recording, storage, and retrieval devices.

- Pay Rate Range: $44.00-$67.30/hr

- Required US Citizenship -May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance at the appropriate level.
