PAY RATE: $40-48/hour

Summary:

• Terminates, routes, and builds connectors and cannon plugs for aircraft avionics or electrical environmental systems.

• Repairs, constructs, installs, troubleshoots, and maintains routine electrical systems and equipment.

• Cuts, threads, bends, couples, and straps conduit for electrical installations.

• Cuts wire and conduit to required lengths for installations and repairs.

• Installs, repairs, or replaces switch boxes, lights, plugs, sockets, light fuses, and extension cords.

• Disassembles motors, generators, and other equipment in preparation for repair.

• Troubleshoots electrical malfunctions and inspects circuits and wiring for shielding and grounding.

• Tests electrical equipment for safety and efficiency using voltage or amperage measuring and recording devices.

• Uses blueprints, drawings, layouts, and other specifications for electrical system work.

• Uses electrical hand tools for repair, installation, and maintenance tasks.

Requirements:

• Active Secret Security Clearance required to start.

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• Previous Military, USAF 7 Level or Equivalent (Journeymen) required.

• MOD Experience 2-4 years required.

• Fighter experience is a plus.

• Ability to terminate, route, and build connectors and cannon plugs.

• Ability to repair, construct, install, troubleshoot, and maintain routine electrical systems and equipment.

• Ability to cut, thread, bend, couple, and strap conduit.

• Ability to cut wire and conduit to length.

• Ability to install, repair, or replace switch boxes, lights, plugs, sockets, light fuses, and extension cords.

• Ability to disassemble motors, generators, and other equipment for repair.
