General Description: Air Quality Division (AQD) Compliance Inspector performs high-level complex engineering tasks related to air quality compliance assurance within several Wyoming counties. Inspects and evaluateswide-ranging industrial facilities, processes, and emission control equipment. Works with industry personnel regarding design, construction, and operation of facilities to ensure regulatory compliance. Writes clear, concise, and detailed reports based on evaluations. Provides engineering knowledge and guidance to industry partners and the public regarding air quality practices with the aim of reducing pollution and improving the airshed.

Preferences: Preference may be given to those with experience in air pollution control or industry processes related to air quality, e.g., baghouses, electrostatic precipitators, cyclonic controls, engine catalysts, and stationary and mobile engines. Preference may be given to those with experience in Oil & Gas facility or equipment design, inspection, or maintenance.
Knowledge: Knowledge of current principles of engineering. Knowledge of industrial processes and pollution controls. Knowledge of Federal and State Air Quality rules and regulations. Knowledge and ability to produce written reports concerning observations and compliance.
Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's Degree (in Engineering) Experience: 1-2 years of progressive work experience in Engineering Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Professional Engineer's (PE) License Required at time of hire - (Wyoming PE required within one year of hire date.)
Physical Working Conditions: Inspections may require the ability to travel, work outside in inclement conditions, climb ladders and/or catwalks, and navigate other potentially challenging terrain.
