Air Ocean Freight Coordinator / Agent
Salary: $55,000–$70,000
Hands-on air freight operations role with some ocean experience preferred. CargoWise required. Air freight must be the majority of recent experience — not procurement and not primarily ocean.

Responsibilities
- Manage air freight shipments A–Z from origin to final delivery.
- Book cargo, coordinate pickups, prepare documentation, follow up with airlines, track, arrange delivery, and bill.
- Work with airlines, truckers, customers, and internal offices on bookings, pickups, docs, and cargo recovery.
- Monitor milestones, flag delays/exceptions early, and fix issues to hold service levels.
- Keep documentation, system updates, costs, and final billing accurate.
- Support air freight quotes by checking routing, transit times, capacity, and operational feasibility.
- Handle priority and complex shipments with tight follow-up through the full lifecycle.
Requirements
- 3+ years hands-on air freight operations in freight forwarding.
- Strong air export and/or air import operations experience.
- CargoWise experience (must-have).
- Knowledge of AES, TSA requirements, and air freight documentation.
- Able to run multiple shipments, priorities, and urgent requests independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving.
Ideal
- Some ocean freight experience.
- Broader import/export operations experience.
- Aerospace or time-critical shipments.
- Support of multiple internal offices or internal customers.
