What You Will Do
As a Air Export Operations Agent you will perform responsibilities that support the daily operations of your assigned employer while following established procedures, quality standards, and workplace safety requirements. Duties may include operating equipment, working with customers, handling materials, preparing documentation, supporting administrative activities, using technology, collaborating with team members, or completing other responsibilities appropriate to the position. Successful Air Export Operations Agent professionals demonstrate adaptability, professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing quality work while contributing to organizational success.
Coordinate international air export shipments from receipt of shipping instructions through cargo departure. Review shipment documentation and customer instructions for accuracy and completeness. Arrange and monitor cargo pickup, delivery, warehouse handling, and transfer to airlines. Prepare and process air export documentation, including House and Master Air Waybills and other required shipping documents. Shipment data to be input accurately into the system. Communicate shipment status, delays, exceptions, and other relevant updates to customers and internal stakeholders. Monitor shipments through departure and proactively follow up on operational issues or potential delays. Ensure shipments are handled in accordance with applicable TSA, IATA, government, carrier, and company requirements. Support the handling of special cargo, including time-sensitive, temperature-sensitive, oversized, or dangerous goods shipments, as applicable and based on training/qualification. Review vendor charges and shipment costs for accuracy and assist with file completion and billing preparation.
