LTaC Support Aide Job Description JOB TITLE: LTaC Support Aide DATE REVISED: April 29, 2024 REPORTS TO: Principal DEPARTMENT/CAMPUS: Assigned Campus PAY GRADE/DUTY DAYS: EA2, 184 FLSA: Non-exempt JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY: This position is responsible for supporting a team of teachers with instructional and non-instructional activities and initiatives to assist in maintaining effectiveness and efficiency within the department. KEY FUNCTIONS, ESSENTIAL DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Instructional & Non-Instructional Support: 1. Monitors independent work time in the classroom parallel to the delivery of instruction by the assigned teacher. 2. Conducts tutoring sessions for small groups and individuals, as assigned, while under the direction of the supervising teachers. 3. Applies appropriate practices to ensure individual student accountability in achieving their respective goals and objectives relative to behavior and engagement. 4. Contributes to a culture that fosters respect, enthusiasm, and rapport. 5. Utilizes instructional tools, resources, and rubrics, in the delivery of instructional activities, as assigned. 6. Manages student behavior during transitions, as well as during less structured time periods such as recess and lunch. 7. Supervises projects and initiatives including, without limitation, skill practices, and digital learning activities, as assigned. 8. Solicits and receives feedback from appropriate supervisory personnel and team members for purposes of developing professional skills and abilities. 9. Completes various administrative tasks to support teaching personnel including, without limitation, taking attendance, entering grades, scheduling parent conferences, preparing student activities and assignments, and reviewing homework assignments. 10. Collaborates with teacher(s), tutor(s), and digital lab monitor(s), as assigned. 11. Participates in professional development opportunities. Compliance: 12. Performs all assigned work activities in accordance with standard procedures and protocols established within the department and District, as well as in accordance with applicable standards, procedures, and protocols set forth by governing entities including, without limitation, the Texas Education Agency, and State Board of Education. 13. Maintains relevant and up-to-date knowledge and understanding of compliance requirements as they relate to communications and public relations. 14. Monitors respective work activity, and that of others, for variances and anomalies. 15. Identifies and timely reports any known or suspected compliance issues to appropriate personnel. 16. Assists with audits and the preparation for audits, whether initiated internally or externally. 17. Adheres to all other District wide policies and procedures including, but not limited to, human resources, safety, and emergency protocols. 1

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS: This position requires frequent sitting, walking, standing, lifting of objects up to 20 lbs, reading, seeing, speaking, hearing, listening, organizing, interpreting data and information, operating office equipment, typing using a computer keyboard and mouse, viewing a computer screen monitor, and use of a telephone. This position also requires regular use of a motor vehicle on public roadways. The working environment consists of an indoor and climate-controlled setting the majority of the time.
