Salary/Terms: Pay Grade B, C or D. Monday through Thursday from 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm for the 2026-2027 school year. Paid for actual days worked. 1/7 daily rate of pay plus competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation. Position of employment contingent upon student enrollment.

Reports to: Building Principal
Evaluation: Evaluated annually by the building principal/immediate supervisor in accordance with WV State Code §18A-2-12, WV State Board Policy 5314 and NCBOE Policy 4220.

Qualifications:
Title:
Aide II - Personnel referred to in the Aide I classification who have completed a training program approved by the West Virginia Board of Education (WVBE) or
who hold a high school diploma, or who have received a general education development certificate. Only personnel classified in at least an Aide II class
title shall be employed as an aide in any special education program.
Aide III - Personnel referred to in the Aide I classification who holds a high school diploma or general education development certificate, and who have
completed six semester hours of college credit at an institution of higher education (IHE) or are employed as an aide in a special education program
and have one year's experience as an aide in special education
Aide IV - Personnel referred to in the Aide I classification who holds a high school diploma or a general education certificate, and who has completed 18 hours
of WVBE-approved college/university credit at a regularly accredited IHE or has successfully completed an in-service training program determined by the
WVBE to be equivalent of three hours of college/university credit
Job Summary:
Provides instructional and classroom support to teachers and students in a school setting.
The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed drugs while in the workplace. Alcohol and controlled substance which affects employee productivity, safety or judgment in the workplace will not be tolerated.
Staff members serve as a role model for students in how to conduct themselves as citizens and as responsible, intelligent human beings.
Staff members have a legal responsibility to help instill in students the belief in and practice of ethical principles and democratic values.
