Location: Boston, MA (On-site).
Employment Type: Contract (W2 through ZipStaff — No C2C or 1099).
About the Opportunity:
ZipStaff is seeking an AI Technical Project Manager to lead enterprise adoption of AI products and platforms at a major financial services organization in Boston.
You will run Generative AI, Agentic AI, and ML programs across engineering, infrastructure, cyber, legal, compliance, risk, and vendors — with measurable value and tight governance. Generic PMs without AI delivery experience will not be a fit.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of GenAI, Agentic AI, and ML initiatives.
- Define scope, success metrics, milestones, schedules, budgets, and dependencies.
- Run multiple concurrent AI workstreams (including developer productivity and legacy-code modernization).
- Act as liaison among technology, control functions, legal, and vendors.
- Brief senior management and executives.
- Establish approved usage patterns, governance, and operating procedures.
- Coordinate risk assessments, legal reviews, cyber evaluations, and compliance.
- Partner with architecture and engineering on integrations, security, and platform work.
- Facilitate technical design discussions and challenge weak assumptions.
- Define KPIs; track utilization, productivity, cost, and ROI.
- Build executive dashboards and adoption reporting.
- Recommend expand / optimize / retire decisions based on value and usage.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years project or program management.
- 3+ years leading GenAI and machine learning initiatives.
- Strong working knowledge of Generative AI, Agentic AI, AI SDLC, cloud platforms, developer-productivity tools, and enterprise architecture.
- Experience with Engineering, Cyber, Risk, Compliance, and Legal stakeholders.
- Strong analysis, communication, and executive presentation.
- Ability to work on-site in Boston, MA.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- GitHub Copilot, Azure AI Foundry, Claude Code, or similar enterprise AI tools.
- Enterprise technology adoption and change management.
- AI governance frameworks.
- PMP (or equivalent).
- GenAI certification (Microsoft, AWS, Google, Databricks, or equivalent) covering LLMs, agents, RAG, prompt engineering, enterprise AI architecture, security, and responsible AI.
