Akkodis is seeking an AI/ML Engineer - Speech Data Scientist for a Contract with a client in Santa Clara, CA. The ideal candidate will support the development and optimization of speech AI models across data collection, training, and evaluation stages to ensure production readiness.
Rate Range: $60/Hour to $63/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
AI/ML Engineer - Speech Data Scientist Job Responsibilities include:
Collect, preprocess, and refine speech datasets in collaboration with data teams to ensure high-quality training inputs.
Develop, train, and optimize speech AI/ML models for performance and scalability in production environments.
Design and execute model evaluation frameworks to assess accuracy, quality, and efficiency.
Analyze model outputs, troubleshoot performance issues, and implement improvements based on findings.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data pipelines and model deployment readiness.
Continuously improve data collection methods and training strategies to optimize overall system performance.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
3-5+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, preferably in speech technologies.
Strong expertise in speech processing (ASR, TTS) with hands-on experience in model training, evaluation, and optimization using Python.
Proven ability to troubleshoot model performance, improve data pipelines, and work in fast-paced, production-focused environments.

Pay Details: $60.00 to $63.00 per hour
