Who we are looking for
State Street Alpha is seeking a highly experienced AI Governance Architect to lead the governance, oversight, and responsible adoption of Generative AI, Agentic AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and AI-enabled engineering capabilities across organization. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with architecture, engineering, cybersecurity, compliance, product, legal, risk management, and FinOps teams to ensure AI solutions align with enterprise governance, security, regulatory, risk, and cost management standards.
Ideal candidates bring deep experience in AI governance, cloud platforms, responsible AI, cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, and financial services control environments, and are energized by building scalable, secure, auditable, and cost-effective AI practices.
Why is this role important to us
The team you will join is part of Charles River Development (or CRD), which became part of State Street in 2018. CRD creates enterprise investment management software solutions for large institutions in institutional investment, wealth management, and hedge funds. Together we have created the first open front-to-back platform - State Street Alpha, that was launched in 2019.
As AI adoption continues to accelerate across financial services, governance, architectural oversight, security, regulatory alignment, cost transparency, and operational discipline are critical to ensuring solutions are secure, compliant, scalable, explainable, and sustainable. This role will lead the responsible evaluation, onboarding, governance, and consumption management of AI solutions and services while helping teams align to enterprise standards, financial accountability, and strategic objectives.

$120,000 - $202,500 Annual
