AI Engineer / Senior AI Engineer

Administers and configures the enterprise AI platforms (M365 Copilot, Claude Enterprise and ChatGPT Enterprise), including user entitlements, provisioning, workspace settings, connectors, and access management. Builds and configures connectors that integrate the AI platforms with enterprise systems (for example, project tracking, document management, IT service management, and data platforms).

Job Description:

Delivers value on the enterprise AI platforms (M365 Copilot, Claude Enterprise and ChatGPT Enterprise) through platform administration, reusable skills, connectors, and integrations. This role administers and configures the AI platforms and builds platform-native solutions that put AI to work across the organization with a fast turnaround. It turns recurring business workflows and backlog requests into shipped, governed, reusable capabilities. This is a one-year contract engagement.

JOB DUTIES

Applies knowledge of enterprise AI platform administration, skills and connector development, and integration engineering to deliver platform-native AI solutions. Follows established AI governance, security-review, and evaluation processes. Core duties:

• Administers and configures the enterprise AI platforms (M365 Copilot, Claude Enterprise and ChatGPT Enterprise), including user entitlements, provisioning, workspace settings, connectors, and access management.

• Authors and maintains reusable AI skills for the enterprise platforms, following governance standards (risk tiering, evaluation suites, and review workflows).
• 
  
• Builds and configures connectors that integrate the AI platforms with enterprise systems (for example, project tracking, document management, IT service management, and data platforms).
• 
  
• Delivers collaboration-channel integrations (for example, Microsoft Teams) and other platform-native solutions.
• 
  
• Packages and manages skills through a version-controlled repository with CI (versioning and evaluation checks on pull requests).
• 
  
• Supports adoption by turning recurring user workflows into reusable skills, and contributes to enablement, hackathons, and training.
• 
  
• Partners with governance to keep the skills catalog reviewed, versioned, and monitored for drift.
• 
  
• Executes platform changes and entitlement requests within an approval process, maintaining audit-ready records.

EXPERIENCE

• 
  
• Requires minimum 3 years job related work experience (and minimum 5 for senior) in software engineering, integration engineering, or platform administration in excess of degree requirements.

Required skills and knowledge

Hands-on experience with LLM or AI platforms, including administration or configuration.

Strong Python and API integration experience.

Experience building connectors and/or authoring reusable AI skills.

Sound integration-design sense: clean interfaces between systems, sensible data flows, and reusable, maintainable components.

Comfort with Git and pull-request workflows, and with evaluation-gated deployment.

Ability to translate a repetitive business workflow into a scoped, reusable solution.

Preferred

Prior experience administering enterprise AI platforms (M365 Copilot, Claude Enterprise, ChatGPT Enterprise, or comparable).

Familiarity with vector search and RAG concepts and data platforms (pgvector, Azure AI Search, Databricks).

Enterprise collaboration and productivity integration experience (Microsoft 365, Teams).

Familiarity with AI governance practices (risk tiering, evaluation suites, versioning).

Experience in a regulated or audit-driven environment.

CERTIFICATION

• Preferred certifications (all optional): Claude Certified Architect (Anthropic), Claude Certified Associate or Developer (Anthropic), OpenAI AI Foundations, or a cloud or AI platform certification (Azure AI Engineer, Microsoft 365, or comparable). Note: Anthropic's Claude certifications are currently available only to members of the Claude Partner Network, so they are preferred but not expected.
