    Description

We are seeking a hands-on AI Developer to help turn emerging AI opportunities into working solutions. This person will spend significant time with their hands on the keyboard: building prototypes, developing integrations, improving processes that are not yet fully established, and helping move useful AI capabilities toward repeatable production delivery.
The AI Developer will work across Microsoft cloud and SaaS-based tooling, using Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT Professional as part of the development and enablement toolkit. The role will also support agent development and ServiceNow connectivity while maintaining an active awareness of governance, access, data handling, and operational requirements.
This is an execution-focused role for someone who can work effectively in ambiguity, learn quickly, communicate clearly, and deliver tangible progress without waiting for every process to be defined in advance.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Build and iterate AI-enabled applications, assistants, agent workflows, and automation solutions.
    • Translate business and operational processes into prompts, instructions, workflows, actions, APIs, and reusable technical patterns.
    • Develop and test integrations between AI tools, Microsoft cloud services, SaaS platforms, and ServiceNow.
    • Support ServiceNow connector configuration and development, including secure access, data retrieval, workflow actions, and error handling as applicable.
    • Use Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT Professional, and related AI tooling to accelerate development, testing, documentation, and operational support.
    • Write application code, scripts, API integrations, and automation components using appropriate languages and frameworks.
    • Help establish development processes, documentation, runbooks, testing practices, and handoff procedures where they do not currently exist.
    • Partner with governance, security, privacy, and platform stakeholders to identify risks and incorporate required controls before deployment.
    • Test AI solutions for reliability, usability, security, data handling, and expected behavior.
    • Document design decisions, configuration, known limitations, support procedures, and next steps.
    • Work collaboratively with the Agent Engineer and internal teams to move prioritized use cases from concept to working solution.

    Required Qualifications

    • 4+ years of experience in software development, application integration, automation engineering, or a related technical discipline.
    • Hands-on experience building applications or automations that use APIs, SaaS platforms, cloud services, or enterprise systems.
    • Experience with at least one modern programming language such as Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
    • Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, authentication, authorization, webhooks, and integration troubleshooting.
    • Experience with Microsoft cloud services and enterprise productivity tooling.
    • Practical experience using AI-assisted development or productivity tools, such as Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT Professional.
    • Ability to work with incomplete requirements and create a practical path from an idea or manual process to an executable solution.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical decisions to nontechnical stakeholders.
    • Willingness to support onsite work when needed.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure OpenAI, or comparable Microsoft AI services.
    • Experience building or integrating AI agents, tool-calling workflows, retrieval-augmented experiences, or enterprise assistants.
    • Experience integrating with ServiceNow or comparable ITSM, workflow, or enterprise service platforms.
    • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, logging, monitoring, and release practices.
    • Experience working within governance, security, privacy, compliance, or data protection processes.
    • Experience creating technical documentation, operating procedures, and knowledge-transfer materials.

Success Measures During the Initial Engagement

    • Delivers working AI or agent capabilities that address prioritized business processes.
    • Establishes repeatable development, testing, documentation, and handoff practices.
    • Completes at least one meaningful integration between AI tooling, Microsoft cloud or SaaS services, and ServiceNow where applicable.
    • Demonstrates that solutions are reviewed for governance, access, data handling, and operational readiness.
    • Increases the internal team's ability to maintain, extend, and support the delivered capabilities.

    Candidate Profile

The strongest candidate will be a pragmatic builder who enjoys creating useful solutions in an evolving environment. They should be comfortable moving between code, configuration, process design, troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder conversations. This role is not limited to experimentation; the expectation is to produce working outcomes and leave behind a stronger delivery foundation.
