Ai Data Architect
Pay range - 65-70/hr
Location - Remote
The AI & Data Architect will lead the design and implementation of AI-enabled data solutions within the Modern Data Solutions platform. This role combines deep data architecture expertise with hands-on experience in Agentic AI, Snowflake AI/Cortex features, and enterprise AI patterns - ensuring solutions are robust, secure, and governed.
Key Responsibilities: Define and maintain AI architecture patterns and reference designs for AI-enabled data solutions within the Modern Data Solutions ecosystem • Lead the design and implementation of Agentic AI solutions, including multi-agent orchestration, tool-calling frameworks, and autonomous pipeline workflows using Snowflake Cortex Agents • Architect and deploy Snowflake AI features including Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search, Cortex LLM functions, Snowflake Copilot, and Document AI to enable intelligent data interactions • Establish AI security patterns and guardrails including prompt injection prevention, data privacy controls, PII redaction, output validation, role-based access to AI features, and responsible AI usage policies • Design and implement AI-integrated data pipelines using dbt, Fivetran, Snowpark, and Airflow with AI-assisted automation and anomaly detection • Build and maintain reusable AI prompt templates, code scaffolding, and accelerator patterns that enable data engineering teams to deliver AI-powered pipelines faster • Enable Copilot and AI-assisted development workflows (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cowork) integrated with data platform tooling to drive productivity across data teams • Collaborate with enterprise architecture, security, and platform teams to ensure AI solutions meet governance, compliance, and architectural standards • Translate business strategy and use cases into AI architectural recommendations - including feasibility assessments, build vs. buy decisions, and roadmap input • Evaluate and recommend emerging AI tools, LLM providers, vector stores, and AI orchestration frameworks for enterprise applicability • Act as technical expert and escalation point for AI integration challenges across data platforms, applications, and pipelines
Required Skills: 5-7 years of relevant experience in a data architect or AI/data engineer role at a company over $5B in revenue • Demonstrated experience designing and deploying AI-integrated data solutions in cloud environments (Snowflake preferred) • Hands-on experience with Agentic AI frameworks - including multi-agent orchestration, LLM tool-calling, and autonomous workflow design • Strong background in Snowflake AI/Cortex features: Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search, Cortex LLM Functions, Snowflake Copilot, and Document AI • Experience establishing AI security controls, guardrails, and governance frameworks (prompt safety, data privacy, access controls, output validation) • Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, dbt (cloud), Fivetran, Snowpark, and AWS platform services • Experience with copilot-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cowork) and integrating AI into developer workflows • Ability to create reusable AI templates, prompt libraries, and accelerators for data pipeline development • Ability to translate business strategy into AI architectural decisions and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications: Experience at a large organization with over $10B in revenue • Experience on large-scale enterprise data modernization projects with AI integration • Advanced knowledge of Snowflake Cortex Agents and Snowflake AI Data Cloud capabilities • Experience with vector databases, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), and semantic search patterns for enterprise data • Familiarity with Cowork, Microsoft Copilot, or similar enterprise AI productivity platforms integrated with data workflows • Experience implementing data quality practices enhanced by AI-driven anomaly detection • Experience building AI governance frameworks including model risk management, bias detection, and responsible AI policies • Strong ability to build internal communities of practice around AI-assisted data development • High degree of initiative with the capacity to lead multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Strong negotiation, organizational, presentation, and verbal communication skills • Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and deliver creative AI-driven solutions in complex environmen
