Documentation, Design, Code, and day to day tasks utilize AI to provide the quickest most efficient means of software delivery. We are seeking an AI First Software Builder to create services and applications to support the Ring team. You possess extensive experience building software. You should be immersed in AI IDEs and seek to use AI first when documenting, designing, and coding. After understanding context, a concise prompt should be your first consideration after a discussion around requirements. Coupled with being driven by AI you should have deep code reviewing skills and the ability to identify and correct errors created by either tooling or other developers.

At Ring, you will work in partnership with the Ring Alarm Team, Ring Smart Lighting Team, the Cloud Guild, Product Management, and key leadership.

Key job responsibilities

  • Work across the organization to present and delivery high quality solutions quickly
  • Write high quality distributed system software for large scale applications, managing high TPS >10000/second
  • Work with product management and cross functional teams to provide technical solutions for desired user experiences
  • Work with other team members to architect and design approaches
  • Prototype new technology and evaluate technical feasibility
  • Take ownership of large components
  • Drive best practices and engineering excellence- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
  • 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
  • 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
  • Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
