AI Architect
Boston, MA - Hybrid
A leading energy trading firm is seeking an AI Architect to lead the design and development of enterprise AI platforms, GenAI applications, and machine learning infrastructure. This is a highly visible role focused on designing scalable AI platforms, driving GenAI initiatives for front, middle, and back-office functions, enabling advanced analytics, forecasting, optimization, and decision-support capabilities across the business.
Responsibilities
- Define enterprise AI architecture, standards, and governance
- Design end-to-end AI/ML and GenAI solutions from data ingestion through deployment
- Lead MLOps strategy, model lifecycle management, and AI platform development
- Partner with engineering, data, and business teams to deliver AI-driven solutions
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship across cross-functional teams
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of full-time experience in software engineering, data engineering, AI engineering, or machine learning
- Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or related field
- Experience architecting and scaling production AI/ML platforms
- Strong expertise in Python, SQL, cloud technologies, MLOps, and distributed systems
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG systems, AI agents, and modern ML frameworks
- Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or similar data platforms
Preferred Qualifications
- Background with GenAI, vector databases, semantic search, and AI observability
- Cloud expertise across Azure, AWS, and/or GCP
- Experience in trading, commodities, energy, or other complex data-driven environments
- Proven track record building large-scale, enterprise-grade AI systems
