Agile System Engineer III

Agile System Engineer III provides technical leadership for systems engineering activities across Agile teams, ensuring mission alignment, architectural integrity, and delivery discipline. Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

Overview:

VTG is looking for an Agile System Engineer III in Chantilly, VA. Agile System Engineer III provides technical leadership for systems engineering activities across Agile teams, ensuring mission alignment, architectural integrity, and delivery discipline.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end to end systems engineering activities within Agile delivery frameworks

• Define and manage system level requirements, dependencies, and technical risks

• Guide decomposition of complex mission needs into scalable Agile backlogs

• Serve as primary systems engineering interface to government stakeholders and technical leadership

• Ensure architectural alignment, interface consistency, and integration readiness

• Oversee requirements traceability, verification strategy, and system acceptance

• Mentor junior and mid level systems engineers

• Support program reviews, technical roadmaps, and long range planning

Qualifications:

• TS/SCI with Poly Required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 10+ years of systems engineering experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with distributed or multi team Agile environments
  Agile and/or systems engineering certifications (SAFe, INCOSE, CSEP, etc.)
