The Agile Product Owner Senior Advisor is responsible for leading initiatives supporting the Specialty Pharmacy area, with a strong focus on AI/ML-driven products, agentic automation, and rapid innovation.
This role utilizes technical, operational, and product expertise to provide business support to Express Scripts Operations, ensuring technology solutions align with enterprise objectives. The role is accountable for defining clear, actionable requirements and executing high-impact initiatives that deliver measurable value.
In addition, this role drives the design, prototyping, and scaling of AI-powered solutions, ensuring alignment to business priorities, responsible AI practices, and operational efficiency.
Primary Functions
Provide business direction and product leadership for cross-functional, operational, and strategic initiatives within Specialty Pharmacy.
Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage delivery timelines to ensure successful execution from ideation through production.
Gather and analyze data, define requirements, track progress, and provide status reporting while ensuring proper processes are followed and documented.
Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, including rapid prototyping, MVP development, validation, and scaled rollout.
Define and execute AI product strategy, identifying opportunities for Generative AI, agentic workflows, and intelligent automation aligned to business value.
Design and implement agentic AI solutions with Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) controls, balancing deterministic rules with AI reasoning capabilities.
Drive fast experimentation cycles (build test iterate), leveraging modern tools and promoting a test-driven development mindset.
Act as liaison between business, technology, and data teams to ensure alignment and resolve product or AI-related challenges.
Monitor KPIs, trends, and product health, leveraging data to identify opportunities for product improvement and AI optimization.
Partner with analytics and engineering teams to enable new data sources and support AI model performance and governance.
Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to leadership, including financial impact, ROI, and value realization.
Proven experience delivering AI products from 0 1 (POC to production)
Strong exposure to:
RAG architectures
Prompt engineering and LLM evaluation
AI model monitoring and performance tuning
Experience building agentic AI solutions embedded in enterprise workflows, including Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) frameworks and governance controls
Track record of delivering measurable outcomes (automation gains, cost reduction, operational efficiency)
8+ years of relevant experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, or Technology delivery, preferably in Agile environments.
Strong understanding of business processes, data analysis, requirement decomposition, and stakeholder management.
Demonstrated experience or working knowledge of:
AI/ML products, Generative AI (LLMs), or intelligent automation
Agentic workflows or decisioning systems
Data-driven product development
Experience in rapid prototyping, experimentation, and delivering MVPs, with ability to operate under tight timelines.
Familiarity with APIs, microservices, cloud-based architectures, and modern AI tooling ecosystems preferred.
Experience in Healthcare or Specialty Pharmacy (billing, claims, Rx workflows) preferred.
Strong technical, analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, influence stakeholders, and drive cross-functional alignment.
