Description

The Fountain Group is currently seeking GenAI Engineers for a prominent client of ours to support the developer of a new agentic application. Preference is for candidates local to San Francisco but open to remote talent capable of overlapping PST work hours.

Details for the positions are as follows:

Type: Hybrid/Remote (Bay Area preferred; 1–2 days/week onsite; remote candidates must provide 4–6 hours daily PST overlap)
Location: South San Francisco, CA 94080
Pay: $Bid Market Rate Hourly W2. Open/Suggested: $100-$200/hour with flex for exceptional talent.
Duration: 6 Months to start
Target Start Date: Immediate

1. Job Description
Job Title: GenAI Engineer
Build an enterprise GenAI application layer focused on agent orchestration, capability discovery, reusable skills, workflow routing, and multi-agent chaining. Develop production-ready GenAI services using Python/TypeScript, AWS, Amazon Bedrock, and AgentCore, with structured APIs and JSON contracts.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field preferred.

Required Skills
3+ years of GenAI Engineering or AI Platform Engineering experience required
Required Python or TypeScript backend engineering
Agent orchestration, tool calling, workflow routing, multi-agent chaining required
Required API and schema design; structured JSON input/output contracts
User intent, conversation history, screen context, and filter integration required
Required GenAI result transformation into narratives, tables, charts, citations, and structured application responses
AWS, Amazon Bedrock, AgentCore required
Production GenAI service development and deployment required

Preferred Skills
Capability registries, agent/tool catalogs, workflow skills, discovery services
MCP and API-first GenAI applications
Analytics applications using semantic-layer or data-query agents

Job Title: GenAI Front-End Engineer
Build reusable conversational and analytics experiences using React and TypeScript for integration into enterprise applications. Develop embedded AI interfaces supporting streaming responses, multi-turn conversations, structured data visualization, authentication, host-application context, and micro-frontend/SDK integration patterns.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field preferred.

Required Skills
Required React and TypeScript production development
Embedded UI, service, or micro-frontend integration required
Integration APIs, SDK contracts, callbacks, events, and versioned interfaces required
Required host-application context integration, including active pages, filters, selected objects, and user actions
Streaming and multi-turn GenAI interfaces required
Clarification flows, conversation history, and GenAI error handling required
Required structured response rendering including tables, charts, citations, and reusable results
REST APIs, streaming APIs, authentication, and token management required

Preferred Skills
Reusable UI SDKs and components
Micro-frontends, Web Components, Module Federation, secure iframe patterns
MCP clients, embedded analytics, enterprise copilot products
