Agentic AI Developer

Summary: We are seeking an experienced Agentic AI Developer to join a high-impact enterprise initiative focused on building next-generation AI agents that enhance fleet operations and business processes. Duties: Design, develop, and deploy intelligent AI agents using modern agentic frameworks, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), tool calling, and workflow orchestration.

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Agentic AI Developer in New York, NY. This position is a 6-12+ month ongoing contract. Summary: We are seeking an experienced Agentic AI Developer to join a high-impact enterprise initiative focused on building next-generation AI agents that enhance fleet operations and business processes. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable AI-powered solutions while collaborating closely with engineering, product, and operations teams. Duties:

• Design, develop, and deploy intelligent AI agents using modern agentic frameworks, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), tool calling, and workflow orchestration
• Build scalable, production-ready AI applications leveraging Java, Node.js, and AWS cloud services
• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise APIs, microservices, and distributed systems to automate complex operational workflows
• Collaborate with product owners, engineering teams, and Fleet Operations to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Develop secure, maintainable applications following software engineering best practices, including REST APIs, Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and secure coding standards
• Design AI workflows with monitoring, observability, and human-in-the-loop capabilities to ensure reliability and governance
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and similar coding assistants to improve development efficiency
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and continuously enhance AI applications to support evolving business needs

Requirements:

• Strong programming experience with Java and Node.js
• Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL
• Hands-on experience building and deploying cloud-native applications in AWS
• Proven experience developing AI agents utilizing LLMs, RAG, agentic frameworks, tool calling, and workflow orchestration
• Experience integrating AI applications with enterprise APIs, microservices, and distributed architectures
• Experience designing scalable, enterprise-grade AI solutions with monitoring and observability
• Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices including REST APIs, Git, CI/CD, testing, and secure development
• Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools including GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar platforms
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and automation skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across engineering, product, and business stakeholders
