AGACNP / PA-C - Medical Hospitalist Group - Sarasota, FL

Board Certified Physician Assistant, Board Certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner who has active, relevant and routine experience in 2 of the last 4 years (defined as at least 500 acute care inpatient encounters over two years). Board Certified Adult/Family Nurse Practitioner , who has active, relevant, and routine experience in 2 of the last 4 years (defined as at least 1,000 acute care inpatient encounters over two years).

Sarasota Memorial First Physicians Group is looking to employ an AGACNP/PA-C to join the MedicalHospitalist Group on the West Coast of Florida. 

Sarasota is located approximately 60 minutes south of Tampa.  The area is known for the arts, great restaurants, world-class beaches, excellent schools and a wide variety of activities for all ages.

The Medical Hospitalist Group, with over 80+ Physicians and APPs, is known for its strong teamwork and fun working environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Full time, APP position to join the night shift
• 12-hour shifts (7:00PM to 7:00AM), 13 shifts per month.
• The APP will cover floor calls answering questions or assist nursing or other departments with the care of the group’s patients.
• Supervising Physicians are in house for the entire shift for support.
• Will attend codes and rapid responses with supervising Physician if needed.
• Will assist with admissions and consults when time permits.
• No call is required.

Requirements:

• Current NCCPA or ANCC certification required and must also have an active license by the State of Florida by the time of hire.
• Board Certified Physician Assistant, Board Certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner who has active, relevant and routine experience in 2 of the last 4 years (defined as at least 500 acute care inpatient encounters over two years).
• Board Certified Adult/Family Nurse Practitioner, who has active, relevant, and routine experience in 2 of the last 4 years (defined as at least 1,000 acute care inpatient encounters over two years).
