Note: This position could be based out of various BCU office locations, preferably in northern Indiana. RoleThis summer 2027 internship position will be projected-based and provide the chosen intern will exposure to various areas of the department, and credit union, to gain a general understanding of the different functions and how each interrelate to one another. If the intern has interest in a particular area (sales, analytical etc.), we will work to provide more time in that job function. This is a 12-week (typically) paid summer program, with opportunity to return to work over school breaks.Potential Duties and Responsibilities- Completes assigned project(s) to further the mission and create efficiencies specific to the ag lending department.- Accompanies Loan Officers on farm visits and then documents the file with information learned on the visit. - Works with Credit Analysts to gain knowledge on how tax returns and financial statements are reviewed and learns about the annual review and risk rating process.- Shadows Loan Processors to learn the basics of loan documentation and loan processing.- Performs other related duties as assigned.Position QualificationsSome agricultural experience a plusCurrent college student pursuing a degree in a related fieldExcellent computer skills (Word, Excel)Self-motivatedAbility to work independently with little or no supervisionMust be extremely detail orientedExcellent communication skillsSignificant level of trust and diplomacyStandard position hours are Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 5 p.m.
