In the part time position the Recreation Program assistant under moderate supervision assists in the organization implementation and supervision of our recreation programs activities and special events for the community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensures safety of all participants and direct supervision of children in all planned activities.
Work Environment
Work takes place indoor and outdoor conditions; in all types of weather.
Education Requirements
High school diploma or GED required.
Qualifications & Experience
Education classes or experience in camp; youth programs; recreation; working with children; or in a related field is helpful. Strong organizational and communication skills. Dynamic and Outgoing Personality
Physical Requirements
Must be able to come to work on time on a daily basis.
Must have the physical ability to lead and participate in camp activities which include; but are not limited to running; swimming; team building initiatives; physical games; and activities.
Must have the ability to physically manage and support children when needed for safety in general camp activities (child weighing 20 - 100 pounds).
Ability to perform a variety of tasks outdoors in different climate.
